The versatility of Sonus XT makes it ideally suited to work with any plant maintenance program and is the perfect complement to other Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Technology. Ultrasound detection can be utilized to detect early warning signs of equipment failure and to conduct energy conservation audits. Quickly and Safely perform closed panel airborne Ultrasound inspections of electrical equipment including Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards, Transformers, Motor Control Centers and Process Equipment Panels to detect early warning signs of Arcing, Tracking and Corona.

The Sonus XT can perform many functions to enhance your maintenance program. Detection of Corona Treeing (Tracking) and Arcing and detection of inner and outer race faults in motor bearings can alert technicians to potential failures. Leak surveys of compressed air systems and energy audits of steam systems can quickly identify losses. Once fixed this will improve overall plant efficiency and reduce operational costs.

The Sonus XT units require a minimal amount of training to get an inspection program up and running on your critical assets. Easily transition from an Electrical Inspection to a Motor Bearing Inspection by swapping the airborne probe for the contact probe without any complicated menu setting adjustments.
